When water is present on a KAIROS’ Leak Sensing Membrane attached to a NOAH Multifunction Leak Sensor, an alarm message is sent to any K1 Gateways within range. When the attached membrane has no water present on it, a message is sent to remove the alarm. NOAH operates in LoRaWANTM Class A mode.
NOAH uses LoRa radio technology for long range, low power, high penetration, low data rate applications. The unit transmits to the KAIROS web and mobile dashboard, which can be set-up to send alerts to any number of users (e.g. building engineers, front desks, residents, owners, security, etc) who should be alerted to the presence of water wherever the sensor is located. The low power characteristics of this new technology allow for up to ten years of battery-powered monitoring. NOAH’s small form-factor make it easy to be installed discretely and out of the way.

Meet the most intelligent and capable leak detection ever. With a flexible printed membrane, long-range & low power, up to 10+ years of battery life, with the security of offline alerts, with temperature & tamper sensing.
To build the ultimate leak sensor, we engineered all features with a precision focus for unparalleled performance. Using an intelligent material strikes the perfect balance between weight and ruggedness to create a truly discrete form factor for any environment. We reimagined the leak sensor in a smart material that rises only half of a millimeter, allowing it to fit underneath even the lowest clearances, such as; appliances, cabinets, walls, ceilings, and all the places you never thought a sensor would fit. The electronic module sits inside an enclosure rated for IPX5, which means it endures being submerged in water up to one meter and is resistant to dust.
If your sensor goes out of range, you will receive an alert. Check your console to make sure your sensor connection with its gateway is ample.
None! Noah has a battery life of 10+ years.
Not necessarily. The Kairos team will evaluate the site determine if there is a need to connect gateways to the internet over cellular if there is not sufficient locations with access to ethernet or Wi-Fi. If that is the case, Kairos has a business account with a provider for $10 per month per gateway.
There is a small adhesive on each sensor that can be placed on appliances, illustrated in the image below.
Kairos offers a dashboard at app.kairoswataer.io where you can view locations, sensors, and onboard new devices.
